  • Title
    Gymnastics - Assistant Coach
Entering her 25th season as the gymnastics coach at Anderson High School, Stacey Bailey is a veteran on the Redskins coaching staff. A proud member of the AHS Class of 1992, Stacey earned her B.S. in Secondary Education from Miami University (1996) during which time she began her coaching career, first at Talawanda High School and then returning "home" to Anderson High School.  For the past 23 years, Stacey has been a social studies teacher at Anderson and involved in guiding several student groups (Link Crew, FCA, SALT), participating on numerous faculty committees and this year is excited to be a part of the inaugural Forest Hills Leadership Academy.

Over the course of 25 seasons, Stacey's "Gymskins" have earned numerous city titles, one SW District Championship title, one SW District Runner-Up title, and four trips to the OHSAA Women's State Gymnastics Championships.  In addition, Stacey has coached 17 individual qualifiers to the State Championships, including four different top 7 placers and AHS's only Gymnastics State Champion, Kristin Fyffe (State Champion: Balance Beam, State Runner-Up: Vault, Bars and All Around). Stacey is honored to have been the 2018 "State Gymnastics Coach of the Year" and to be inducted into the Anderson High School Athletics Hall of Fame in March of 2019. Coach Bailey feels incredibly blessed by the opportunity to coach her daughter, Mattie (AHS, Class of 2021) and the eleven other tremendous gymnasts on the team this season. Seniors, Sarah Schwing and Kaitlyn Longworth will lead the '18-19 squad, both of whom are four year varsity starters.  As always, Coach Stacey wants everyone to remember to "WIN THE DAY!"
